Methanol Injection

I was just wanting to check for sure. But with my setup for example B20B/B16a2 w/ Greddy turbo kit. Would Methanol Injection help me in any ways other than obviously more power? More so would it help with prolonging motor life and keeping things a little safer in the bottom end until I get it sleeved?

Thanks

Re: Methanol Injection

it will help. you can lower the psi u us but in a way get the same hp. it help by lowering your charge temp and by raising ur octane level.

this is a quickie but soon the real turbo guys should be in here.

Re: Methanol Injection

As far as b20 blocks go, I have no personal experience but people I know that do have experience have told me that they won't hold much power before they go. I wouldn't chance it unless you have a spare block. It isn't about the "psi" its about the cylinder pressure and the power you're making.

Re: Methanol Injection

Yeah thats kinda what I figured. I probably wont go with meth. injection. I am going with another tip I was given which was to swap out the Integra type R cams in it for some more turbo friendly ones and re-tune it. This way I can get some cooler temps.

Re: Methanol Injection

If you're considering cams, look into gsr's for boost.
