LED Headlight Bulbs
LED Headlight Bulbs
I got myself some LED bulbs for a 2000 Honda Civic EX. Would this be ok? I know the housing is meant for halogens only, but will the light scatter everywhere? I just need brighter lights, and I like the 5000k color (white). Are there any specific LED lights that would work instead? I honestly just bought some eBay ones to see how they'll do.
Re: LED Headlight Bulbs
Please don't. If you use anything other than a halogen bulb it is going to kick up too much light into oncoming driver's faces. Either get brighter halogen bulbs or replace the entire headlight assembly with an aftermarket designed for LEDs.
Re: LED Headlight Bulbs
I kinda figured this. I always test the beam out when changing light types. With the cheap eBay one, the beam way off aimed a lot higher, and wasn't focused, and of course, didn't lock. I was going to get clear headlight housing (ones without the amber side reflector), but I do want LED's or HID's, and that housing doesn't support it. I'll have to see what my option are, and sadly it's going to be a little more expensive.
