98 DX Guage cluster
I have a 98 DX 5 speed manual. the cluster has no tach in it. I want to swap it out with a gauge cluster with a tach. Is there gonna be any cutting/splicing to put it in? Ive read that it should just match up. Just want to confirm

Here is a close to 2200 page long service manual for the 6th gen Civics.
It has all the wiring diagrams, you just have to dig in.

I looked for the same on my son's '97 DX (5SPM). The cluster with the tach has an extra connector on it, the other connectors are the same. I have not dug into what is on that extra connector and if it is really needed.
What is the going price for cluster with the tach?
