ex guage cluster

I have an 97 ex and i'm wanting to swap in si gauges (tach and speedo) if i swap those in will that be a direct swap, even though the speed goes to 140 instead of 120 and the tack goes 1000 rpms higher? do i have to replace any gears or anything? pretty much i want a speedometer that goes higher than 120mph and im just wondering that if i swap a higher mph reading gauge will it automatically know to adjust?

Re: ex guage cluster

If your old cluster has 140 and the new one has 120mph, no adjusting is needed. Once you do the swap, if your car goes 140, on the cluster you will see the needle way pass 120. That is it. Hope this helps

Re: ex guage cluster

its the opposite. my speedo goes to 120 now and the one that i want to put in out of an si goes to 140 so it would read faster then the stock one that i have.
