Tachometer Installation

I have a 1996 Honda Civic that has no tachometer. I was thinking about replacing the whole cluster and adding one from a 1999 Civic . The car came from Canada so I want to get rid of KMH as well. Will this be a simple plug and play install since it wasn't equiped with the readout?

Thanks,

John

Re: Tachometer Installation

It should be straight plug and play, although the cluster doesn't common with the gauge the wire is there.

Re: Tachometer Installation

I didn't want to start a new thread because from searches there are many already about tachs. So My 03' DX is in need of a tach, what is the easiest/ cheapest method of doing this, Either cluster swap, or adding after-market tach? Would Like to avoid soldering and splicing wires if at all possible. Thanks
