97 radio static when HID's are on
i got a pair of HID's off of craigslist for $45. there 10k and wenever i have them on my radio gets all staticy and when i turn them off it gets clear instantly...... my next problem is that the right side light doesnt always turn on on the first try, i usually have to turn on the headlights, wait about ten seconds then switch it off then back on fast for it to turn on... idk if its maybe a faulty ballast, wat else can i ask for wen it only cost me $45...

You coulda got a brand new kit with a lifetime warranty for $45 on ddmtuning.com.. just sayin.. I'm running their digital ballast kit on my HID retrofit.

thats a problem with aftermarket ballasts, not enough RF shielding. my hella oem ballasts dont give any static. and pretty soon you will be spending $1k on a new ECU when the interference from the ballasts fries it.
