Speakers and Subwoofers
Speakers and Subwoofers
Well I got this pair of subwoofers from a buddy at a garage sale. They seem to still work, but any idea how I can install it in the car?
The amp is an 800 Watt Lanzar Vibe and the subwoofers are two different kinds.

Re: Speakers and Subwoofers
I dont know about powering 2 different subs, especially with different rms and stuff, but ive seen a few, A VERY FEW, people mix and match. I dont quite understand what you mean by "how to install in car". Just put the amp and sub box in the trunk and your set. To run wire to the amp, i have a 99 so it should be the same but theres a grommet under the battery tray thats pretty easy to get to so wire the power thru there so you dont have to drill.

What he and the other guy said.
To answer the installation part, well, theres a few different things you can do. You can bridge a 5 channel to two subs (that's a little hardcore but would definitely shatter windows), but either way you would need some kind of amplifier to provide power. You also need a sub box to put the subs in...and you generally want aftermarket speakers. It's not really good to just have really good bass and crappy everything else. And while your at it, you should probably amplify the speakers too.
Don't you hate modifying cars? Adding one thing means you gotta add a hundred different things and before you know it you've dumped 500 bucks. Been there, done that.
