I have a 92 Civic and two days ago the battery light came on driving on the freeway, and started to smell like burnt plastic. Next morning battery was completey dead, got a jump start the car was on for like 3 min and it started smoking from inside, under the glove compaartment. Then i took it to the mechanic to check it and he couldnt do much becuase they were closing, he only checked the battery to see if the alternator was charging the battery, because the alternator was changed a week or so ago. The mechanic said there was a wire somewhere inside the dashboard, that was burned and to get it checked out. Next morning car was dead and speedometer wasnt working. Can i please get some input
