Hello, I just recently blew my MTX RTP251D amp, i opened it and part circuitry was burnt. I don't know if u guys suggest i fix it or just buy a new one?

In my 2000 ex:
2 8" Memphis m class subs 150 w RMS/ 300 peak

I was looking at the Kicker zx300.1 amp
RMS Power Rating:
4 ohms: 150 watts x 1 chan.
2 ohms: 300 watts x 1 chan.

What does this exactly mean i would like to purchase an amp that will supply close to 150 watts to each sub? If i have this correctly the lower resistance means more power this is obvious from my circuit theory class, but i think the subs are 4 ohm each (not sure) so if we have 2 4ohm subs therefore the kicker zx300.1 amp will only supply 75 watts to each sub? Please correct me if i'm wrong, and what other amps would you suggest for these two subs?

a pioneer GM-6400F will give you 150W x 2 @4 ohm.

i would buy a new one. but i have heard that its best to match sub and amp....but i never do.lol i have two alpine type s that rate 900 max each. i put a 1200 watt off brand amp...bad idea the off brands dont seem to have as much power as they should. when i had a 720 watt jenson amp it seemed to power it just the same as the 1200 but i would probably buy a 500-600 watt amp.id try a Hifonics Titan TXI6008 600 Watt A/B Class Two-Channel Amplifier i have been more and more suprised by hifonics. i bought their zeus 6.5 speakers and they are amazing. they almost hit like small subs. but yeah check with amazon.com its the best place i have found to buy new audio. what i do is look up stuff on crutchfield and then i go there.
