electrical problem

Ok so i just put new speakers in my 98 civic dx 4dr
last night i was on my way out the door to go to work, as i attempted to start my car the lights inside my car were on but very dim and the car simply wouldnt start. As i turned the key it made no noises at all like the battery was dead. this morning i disconnected the speakers and jumped the car battery. I let it run for 10 minutes or so turned my headlights and wipers on and reversed out of my driveway. I then turned my defrosters on and it died on me. could it be that i didnt let it run long enough before i tried to drive it? or is my alternator shot

Re: electrical problem

check the battery first, then the alternator. that'll probably fix it
