need help with woofer choice and installment

I got a 99 Honda civic ex 2 door with factory radio and speakers in it. I want to know the best sub woofer system to put in I'm thinking about a twin box for my trunk. I'm hoping to spend just around $600 for the new speakers on my doors and for the sub itself. I heard it would be best to get an after market radio but I don't wanna lose my 6 cd changer it has. I'm a metal fan so you all know musically.

single JL audio 10" W6 sub and a JL G1300 amp. that's what i've got right now and it blows away several dual 12" setups i've had before. it's loud and clear. not just boomy. it's tight. box is small too, so you'll still have trunk space.

i wouldn't waste money replacing the rear speakers. put a good set of components up front on an amp and you won't even use the rears.

Re: need help with woofer choice and installment

honestly, one sub is enough if you pick a good one like infinity kappa and give it alot of power like it needs. ive heard single sub that sounded better and louder than two. and stick with 10 inch unless you like very boomy and slow bass.
