6x9 deck help

after i put in my aftermarket 6x9s in my 98 HX i was wondering if there is anyway to not use the back plastic deck and build a wood one to fit back there? if anyone has any tips at all any links feel free to post them, anything will help! Thanks

Wood would not look right IMO maybe fiberglass but if you do not have those skills or the time I would use the stock piece. Just my .02

ya i no id wrap it with something or think of something. i dont want to have to swiffer around my speakers
