hybrid climate control fit?

Does anybody know if the 03-05 civic hybrid's entire climate control piece fits in the normal civics? (specifically the 01) It looks like it would physically fit, though i'm not so sure about the wiring.

like..theres an "econ" button instead of rear defrost..

Here's a pic for reference: http://my.autorevo.com/revo/viewers/...5&PID=18929985

the circuit logic is totally different. nothing will work even if you manage to connect the wires.

care to eleborate on this? i'm 60% done making a adapter harness and the auto temp sensors are on there way.

even if i can regain manual control w/ the auto unit and make the auto work later i'll be happy.

besides it uses the same harware besides the 3 extra sensors so i dont see why it wouldent work.

Re: hybrid climate control fit?

the problem is, alot of the signals go through and are processed by multiplex control unit. the EX or whatever mcu will not be able to process hybrid logic signals. even if you make adapter harness, what do you expect it will do? your car does not have the ability to process any extra "auto" and im not sure even the other dial functions will even work properly. where would the temp sensors go and how will they get processed to use the auto function. its so complicated i dont see how you can get anything out of it. i mean report back if you can, but wow good luck to you.

Re: hybrid climate control fit?

well i didnt see any computer lines in the schematic. even the coolant temp wire comes in to be read. not like the cluster where i'ts over the computer lines. the mode / temp / reculation motors look identical. just the inside, outside temp and sunlight sensor need to be added.

infact i think the econ funtion gets used by the unit them sends a on off to the cluster where it gets over the computer lines.

all i'm missing is a replacement plug for the black plug since i couldent find a stock plug.

i'm fully convinced i can get it to work i just havent worked on it latly.

Re: hybrid climate control fit?

i found a cheap plug to use.

u need to get TWO of these:

99-00 civic CD changer adapter
Part number: 32257-S04-A101

it's the black plug. i just mesured 10 inches of thise wires cut them and tossed the rest in my "who knows" bin (i never throw anyiting out. who knows when u might need it lol.)
70% of the wires match up in collor but u still need to re-pin as one plug dosent have enough wires for the climate control. 18 out of 20 pins get used.
