Rep Power: 0 what kind of tires?
hi this maybe a dumb question but how do i know what kind of tires to buy? like is there some kind of code stamped on the tires that can tell me if they would fit my vehicle? I don't want to accidentally buy the wrong kind and damage any thing.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: what kind of tires?
Open the drivers door.
Look for one of these stickers.
Find YOUR tire size info.
Probably something like 185-65-R14 for a DX civic.
Now.....take the tire size information from your car and look for tires that exact size, with whatever tread pattern you want.

Look on the sidewall of your tires. You should see the size at the very least

Visit tirerack.com and input your cars information. Then you can find out the oem size. Alos cehck consumerreport.org for specific tire recommendations. I just put on yokohama avid ascends on my honda fit and really like them becasu ethyw seem quiet.

Check out these sites, you can enter the car info and it will give you the stock tire size. But best to look at your current tire and enter in that size.
