i’m new to the car scene and i was under the impression that if you get deep dish wheels you’d need to have a stance on ur car and i got a civic ek and i’m trying to get the varrstoen mk6 wheels and just wondering if i’d have to have my car stanced
Stance isn't really a requirement. It really depends on how low you wanna go.
Also, personally not a fan of the stretched tire, stupid negative camber, lowered so far you need static suspension look. I mean, if you like buying tires all the time, more power to you, but deep dish on a civic can be done without the "stance" look
case in point:
Not super deep dish rims, but deep dish enough considering it's a civic. It's also lowered reasonably to about a 1 finger gap, and with that setup, enough negative camber is introduced during strut compression to allow tire clearance inside the fenderwell. The wheel width and offset make it so the rim face is even (maybe poking a hair) with the fender. Looks good, functions well. I personally like the flush look over
this...
I get for the look, but functionally, I don't. I personally can't see how that'd be a fun DD. You'd need a super stiff suspension to keep from tearing up your fenders (unless it's bagged, then it can raised up to make it DD-friendly and squatting low for show). Those tires are super stretched, so you'd bust that bead on a bad bump, and the negative camber ensures you're buying tires at least every 10k miles. I personally also think that it's weird when a rim pokes that much further than the tire.
Buuuttttt... at the end of the day, it's your car and don't let people dictate what you like. Seriously do what makes you happy and f- the haters. Everything I wrote above is my own personal opinion. Everyone has different tastes. Find the look you like.
