Need some advice or a suggestion

I bought a 98 civic dx and it came with a spare 4 summer rims. I dont believe the rims were ever on the car because the car still has its original hub caps and stuff. Im afraid that the wheels wont fit in the back because they are 16" rims with 205/55R16 tires. With the 14" rims on the car there is only about 2 inches of clearence in the rear. Would there be enough room to put the new wheels on?

Roll one of the wheels up side by side with one already on the car. Are they about the same height?

You have a jack and a lug wrench, stick one on and try it.

Re: Need some advice or a suggestion

^should fit depending on the size of the tire on the rim. bigger rim less rubber. If someone sold them to you with the car they probly used them. But like E said just put one on and try it.

Stock tire size 185-65-14?
Dia 23.5"
Circ 73.7"
R/M 859.0

New size 205-55-16
Dia 24.9"
Circ 78.2"
R/M 811.0

Only 1.4" larger diameter. Should fit if the rim offset is within reason.
Speedo error -6.0% (slow) Indicated speed 60MPH, actual speed will be 63.6MPH
