Rep Power: 0 Exhaust pipe at resonator corrosion...
Pulled car out last week, 2 blocks away heard loud engine noise. Looked under car and saw my resonator at front broke off and was hanging due to rust. I used to drive this car in the rain, thru puddles, dirt roads etc. And 1 mile from ocean, salt air. Anyway went and bought 70" 1 7/8" pipe. Snug fit over original. Slid over the existing pipe. installed bracket and heat shield. Wire brushed and painted shield and bracket. I need to change those wing nuts for regular. (ALL I HAD). Tacked welded both ends and installed 1 3/4" muffler clamps. Did away with resonator since rusted, may be bad inside. My MagnaFlow muffler sounds much better. B4 n after pics. I'm not a great welder as you can see but as long as no leaks, content! I'll post a video clip of sound later.

Thanks, I bet that was my issue with a glowing red light that would come on, just a little glow over the years. Then weeks before pipe fell, My check engine light came on. So far no lights but haven't driven since repair.
