Newest mods....

Well i finally got my DC5 ITR muffler installed as well as my hi flow resonator downipe. I defintely like the way the car feels with the I/H?downpipe/exhaust. Much much better then stock without a doubt. Down the road I'll get VAFC to tune it up. Hopefully I'll get a dyno this summer when i got some extra cash. Two favourite bolt-ons have to be the Iceman intake and the downpipe . The muffler also looks great and performs well. If some of you don't know the ITR muffler has a valve that opens at a certain RPM/pressure to increase exhaust flow.

The new 05 RSX-S's have the same muffler too but slightly smaller tip.

It looks just like an RSR-exmag to me and sounds similiar too.

Happy with everything except for one problem. There's a tinny buzzing coming from the downpipe. I also hit a rock with my downpipe and there's a big dent now.

Anyone else get the tinny buzz? Very frustrating and annoying since i think it sounds ricey. Here's some pics of the muffler...

the exhaust i bought used from jdmtheory.com . I was told it had less then 10,000kms on it but i have no way of knowing for sure. price i paid was $150US + shipping. Yes pricey but if you look at clubrsx.com they are in high demand and i couldn't negotiate a deal cheaper on there so i went for the jdmtheory deal. I also needed it shipped to canada so shipping can get hella exspensive. luckily jdmtheory had a shipment going to my area so i paid less for the shipping. As for installation it isn't a direct bolt on. i had a shop weld it onto my already custom 2.25" piping and they also had to change the hangers to a different location. A little farther back on the muffler. No extra parts needed.

Hmm... How would that work with my 2.25 piping? I have a down pipe, but there's no flange when it connects to the cat, how would that work? It doesn't just bolt up does it?

oh yeah i forgot to mention this is just the muffler not the whole cat back. It doesn't sound loud at all. I only hear my intake roaring and a little bit of exhaust when i'm gunning it. To me it's stock sounding with a deeper tone. Not as deep as a rsr though. I'm not using the stock resonator but i have a baffle res installed. I'm glad the loud exhaust noise is gone, it got very annoying quickly. interior noise you would think it's stock except for the intake. exterior you can tell it sounds deeper.

i just found out the buzzing is coming from somewhere around the muffler. hopefully the exhaust shop can fix that.
