Hey guys,

I wrecked my 99 Si. Im pretty bummed.

anyway, i have to chose between fixing it myself and scrapping it.
no insurance money coming my way.

the left side unibody frame is along the engine is pushed in
(not so much that the strut bar/ anti roll bar across the front of engine is effected)

radiators dented inward

oh and the back windshield is smashed (tow truck driver thought car was totalled- through hook through back windsheild)

other than that axles are good, doors open, turns on (not sure if drives)

Im not a mechanic but ive worked on this car for the 13 years ive had it.
its by no means in great condition. mechanically its sound except it burns oil.
i call it my mad max car because it looks a little like a derby car.. but its a beast!

anyone with rebuild experience.... what would this job entail? should i try and reweld unibody frame?
are cars ever the same safetywise when you weld frame?

It might be time to shop for a new chassis.

Keep all your goodies like the type R engine and swap them over.
