Intake resonator... is it needed?

I removed mine a while back because I Was doing some work and needed the space, Never reinstalled it because I'm lazy. Do I need it? Aside from making it quieter, is there any reason to keep it?

It may be part of the tuned resonance intake system. Sometimes when you take off this stuff you lose power.

Junkyard? Or find some kid that took off the stock intake to put on a shiny hot air intake and buy it from him?

Re: Intake resonator... is it needed?

It's already missing and OP has no issues with it.....no biggie IMO.

Hope splashing through deep puddles doesn't affect it. (I don't know which part is missing, but some units have a snorkel positioned so its harder to pick up water)
