ARP Head studs / Gasket kit - Worth it?

I'm going to be doing my head gasket and what not here soon, Was looking at kits and wondering if the ARP Stud and gasket kits are worth it? When I do this, I don't wanna cheap out on parts and have to do it again later on... or possibly damage the engine.

What kit / studs would you all recommend?

Just a stock engine right?

Use OEM (Honda) everything. The head bolts can be reused as long as they aren't damaged

Yes, It's a stock engine. Don't plan on modding it... Mostly just wanna replace what's known to fail with good long lasting parts.

Genuine Honda parts. Reuse head bolts.

I certainly would use genuine Honda parts. The life of your valves (and engine) is at stake

ESPECIALLY the tensioner pulley

I just finished 3 weekends of work on my son's 2002 Civic; all the parts i used were Honda OEM, except the Excedy clutch and flywheel. Don't skimp on this kind of work. See if your Honda dealer has a internet department and request pricing from their website. Doing this saved me a lot of money.

exedy makes the OEM clutch. If you went with an OEM replacement (and not stage 1, etc) from exedy, you effectively went OEM. lol

Just gonna order the OEM parts piece by piece. What all do I need to do the timing belt and water pump? So far, This is what I am putting in my car.

Re: ARP Head studs / Gasket kit - Worth it?

According to your pictures:

Tensioner pulley comes with spring , no need to buy an extra spring

Water pump comes with gasket, no need to buy extra gasket

Seal at the bottom of the list....Do you want the other seal as well? (front cam seal and front crank seal are usually done together)

It doesn't say they are included... So I might contact them and see for sure.

Sure... I guess if it's something that needs to be done, it'll get done.

Not sure where your parts list came from

Online Honda dealer parts catalog shows:

14520-P2A-305
Pulley includes spring

19200-P2A-A01
Water pump includes gasket
