1997LX is an unknown quantity at this point
Low RPM Shake

I have a 1997 Honda Civic LX. I bought the car at 192k miles, and ever since I bought it, whenever it warms up, it idles at about 500 Rpms, and when it does it has this violent shake. I can't tell exactly where it comes from, but it only does that at low Rpms. It throws the engine code right now for running too lean on gas, but even before that light came on it did that shake. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Re: Low RPM Shake

Figure out why it idles too low and sets the lean code first. What's the fault code number anyway?

Also, use a scanner or a real tachometer to verify true RPM, not the gauge on the dash.
