Exclamation Every week a new problem..(pics)

I swear every week its a new issue...or maybe I'm messing with the car too much...

Alright. went to auto store to get a brake tool for the rear drums i planned on installing today..did the front last night so when i noticed a little white smoke at gas station i figured they were hot. Still, popped the hood and didn't see ANYTHING...no obvious signs. not even a smell...buy some brake grease thinking i'm burning them or rubbing etc. when I get home and reverse into the garage i closely look inside the motor when i see 1 drop of coolant on the ground...did my best to follow it. and traced it right back to where it gave me problems last month..right under the distributor almost as if it were coming out of the hose.its not gushing, but it is leaking....overflow was very low yet no overheating...(gauge) is working...i've got some pictures to show...I don't want to say headgasket this early on...but my next purchase today was going to be new heater hose because it just looked shady and noticed some dampness torwards the end of the hose near the firewall...anyone experience the same? and yes before the flaming begins i did use bondo at the time hoping to plug it up...its now off...

also, when the first happened over the summer I used this product assuming it was head gasket.

Not big on additives as a cure all I just wanted it to make it until i have the $$ for a new motor all together...plus it said double money back and cost around 55$ so why not? - Im tempted to pour the rest in there my car requires maybe 1/3 of the bottle...Need some advice because with this issue i'm not going to throw much more $$ at it...just order a motor, and pay a shop and be done...and faster..

link is to an album of pictures...

That's because it most likely is. That heater hose underneath the distributor is prone to early failure if the ditributor's o-ring leaks oil on it and degrades it. Probably has a slit in the hose. Mark distributor (ignition timing) and remove, check hose, most likely replace..or replace for peace of mind. Add coolant and do a pressure test on coolant system.

That garbage can stop up the radiator and heater core. Please never use that **** again..even if you know 100% the head gasket is breached. Even if it seals a headgasket leak it won't last long. Do a coolant drain and fill and even consider doing a flush and backflush for coolant system and for heater core (youtube).

Youre right about the K&W stuff. never again...last night when i went to burp cooling system it was crackling on inside like it had dried up etc...im in the garage as we speak and also noticed the fan never came on during burping...so...i jumped switch at the housing and it comes on...if i remember this means BAD switch...yet im not over heating...yet...i also may have used too much coolant before i knew of the leak?...looks like rear brakes are on hold today

K&W or any other head gasket sealant..don't use.
Pressure test system first..possible ECT sensor leak but, not as likely as heater hose under distributor.

Heater core flush: http://www.wikihow.com/Flush-a-Heater-Core if you use a garden hose open bib (valve) just a bit..do not exceed 13 lbs of pressure. To flush coolant system properly you will have to remove thermostat and reconnect upper radiator hose. However, for a simple drain and fill you it's not necessary. You really want to get that HG sealant spooge out of your coolant system as much as possible.

Browsed pics, can't see much.

What year is your car?

Fan can take a damn long time to run, and if there's any breeze at all blowing through the radiator it may not need to run at all.

Fan switch senses the water temp coming from the bottom hose of the radiator, so it's not gonna run until that hose is too hot to hang on to.

Re: Every week a new problem..(pics)

The fitting that hose came off of looks covered in rust....a bit of emery cloth sanding could be in order. If it's pitted really bad maybe a thin coat of some RTV to fill in pits?

Those small hoses that say 'fuel injection'...are those carrying coolant to the throttle body? The hose material may not last a long time in the cooling system, and the spring clamps may not fit tight enough to stop leakage... keep an eye on them.

those are temporary until i figured out how to "neatly" run all the hosing..
calling it quits for the day to google more stuff and drive myself crazy over this car...all old heater hoses are gone and new ones installed..theres one in particular that has too much of a crease for me to be satisfied with...i bought 8 ft of this hose lol and was charged for 3ft (buddy @ store) maybe its new and hasnt set yet - i dont know....but on that note anyone have a picture available of their own routing system with these hoses..y7motor y8 intake manifold...going crazy here

You aren't using spec molded hoses? If not, I would be concerned that forming from straight hose will create problems under heat and pressure. I'm a cheapskate SOB too but, with auto repair it usually backfires (pun)... i.e, head gasket sealant.

Pic is a reference to shape only (these cheap silicone hoses lose water through permeation and the stock spring clamps don't fit their diameter well).

I've gotten spring coils that slide onto the outside of a hose so you can make tight bends without kinking it, I think it came from my local NAPA but any parts store may have them.
