A/C Compressor

can somebody explain to me that denso 471-1420 will fit the honda civic 99 (D16Y8) but it only have a one valve low port or comes with a plate with one port only, the civic ac line has two ports on the compressor, pls explain. thanks ed

You apparently have to swap your part (port plate) from your original compressor over to the new compressor.

Read in Haynes manual to take car somewhere to have refrigerate evacuated before replacing AC compressor. Then take it back to evacuate air and moisture before recharging, Is that really necessary with R-134? Would a garage even be open to that idea?
