Confuse about how to bleed the coolant system

I'm trying to follow steps from Honda Service Manual (HSM) regarding coolant filling and bleeding. The title at the page 10-7 mentioned bleeding but there is nothing about bleeding the coolant system. please let know if you know how to bleed the coolant system.

thx

Generally I use one of these funnels to bleed out a coolant system.

Amazon.com: Lisle 24610 Spill-Free Funnel: Automotive Amazon.com: Lisle 24610 Spill-Free Funnel: Automotive

The reason for this is because the radiator cap is lower than the head on many models. This makes removing air very difficult. Some of the older models had a bleeder screw on the thermostat housing. You don't include the year and which engine so I can't be very specific

Hi mcnoople, my civic is an 1999 dx D16Y7 engine. Does it have a bleeding valve or a bleeding bolt somewhere in this engine ?

Edit: the civic is a 2000 but bought it in 1999

park on an incline (driveway works), pop the radiator cap off, turn car on (heater full blast), top off the radiator as necessary. Quit when you stop seeing bubbles. Bear in mind, bubbles will appear much less frequently after a short while. I basically let it run for a good 5-10 minutes after I stop seeing bubbles appear just to be certain.
