A/C Compressor Siezed

My compressor siezed, and a buddy told me that there is a model of civic sold without an a/c (DX I think) could I get a belt for that model that I guess just runs from the crank to the alternator, and bypass my a/c? If so, does anyone have a part number. I have looked and looked, but can't find the belt anywhere.

Re: A/C Compressor Siezed

You posted under 6th gen, which has a single belt only for its compressor. Cut it off.

If you have a 7th gen car, 2001-2005, any parts store flunky SHOULD be able to look up a 2001 Civic DX sedan alternator belt WITHOUT AC.

If you want to get it through Honda, it's # 31110-PLA-E02

Thread moved to 7th gen.

Thanks, its a 99 civic ex. Maybe that's why I couldn't find the belt, since it doesn't exist. Texas summer with no ac is going to suck hard.

Moving thread BACK to 6th gen now. LOL

A 99 uses an individual belt for each accessory.

If your compressor is locked up internally --- just don't turn it on, it would be fine....... unless the pulley is what locked up....
Or remove the belt.
