'96 Del Sol no crank/start

Alrighty, here's what I know so far:

Went into a store, came out, no crank.
Attempted push start, and cranked.
Suspected bad Starter, attempted to jump the starter, starter is fine
Pulled out the clutch switch, hooked up a volt meter, get a distinctive on/off connectivity when I press the button.

When I put the key into the ignition and turn to II, dash lights and radio come on, and I hear the fuel pump as well. If I turn to Start, nothing happens. the only click I hear is my automatic locks attempting to lock.

Any advice to help me get back on the road would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

have you checked the battery voltage? It could also be a bad cell in the battery, have to get a load test on that battery. The battery could be putting out enough juice to get the radio and lights on but not enough to start the car. If you do get a battery, I just got mine from advance auto, using code I think it was TRT41, saved me $40 Just to help you out..

I haven't, but I have attempted to jump start it with no luck.

ahh yeah sounds like a bad cell in the battery. Jumping a bad battery, nothing will happen. Sounds like it's time for a trip to get a new battery but definitely load test your existing one to see how far gone it really is.

It's part of the little rubber/plastic stopper that was inserted into the clutch pedal that makes contact with the clutch switch.
