Hi everyone, I am excited to be a new member of this forum!

I am thinking about buying a Black 2000 Honda Civic HX Coupe with a 5 speed manual transmission. The thing I am not sure about is whether or not I should buy it because it had a blown head gasket. The car has 118,000 miles on it and supposedly is in great condition as far as the paint and interior go. It has a blown head gasket that is currently getting fixed. Should I pass on this car because of the previous blown head gasket or should I not worry about that? It seems to me like the guy that is doing the head gasket is doing it right. He is sending the head in today to get looked at. He is also replacing the water pump and timing belt. I have not yet asked him what caused the head gasket to blow. He said he was going to list it for $3500. Is this a fair price? What should I pay for it? The Kelley Blue Book is around $2500-$2900. Thanks!
