Groaning Noise From Front Wheel??
I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe with 248,xxx miles. Recently it started making a "groaning" noise coming from the front passenger side wheel especially when going from a stop and while hitting certain bumps. Sometimes while turning. I've had the upper control arm and lower ball joint replaced on that side recently. I've had the struts replaced all around within the past 2 years as well as all the wheel bearings. Have no idea what this sound is. Here's a "video" of the sound!
At 6 seconds into the video you can hear the sound. It continues a little while after that as well.

oh yeah also forgot to mention that I am trying to get it into a trusted shop but they've been slammed all week because of Christmas, will try again tomorrow! Just trying to get a possible idea of what it might be from you guys!

Re: Groaning Noise From Front Wheel??
Creak noise upon takeoff...tire pulling suspension parts forward....
Loose mounting hardware, either upper or lower control arm?
Slightly loose bolts would allow slow movement (the creak noise is more like a series of pops in rapid succession) when stressed, as opposed to really loose that would allow rapid movement and clunk noise.
I'd probably grab a few tools and go under and just tighten up everything you can get a tool on.

Re: Groaning Noise From Front Wheel??
Took it the one shop they kept it all day and checked everything. Said it was all tight. But they didn't road test it. I didn't like that so I took it to another shop. They road tested with me in the car and bounced on it and such and said the strut or strut mount is bad. It was a quick strut and I'm getting it warrantied out through Advance Auto Parts. Getting it replaced today hopefully. Will write back when done.
