2000 civic starter cranks once
2000 civic starter cranks once
Just started happening, I go to start the car and the starter will only crank one rev. If I hold the key to the start position, it will crank 1 rev every 1 second or so. My car usually starts on the second try. What could this be?
Any help is appreciated!

You probably need to check condition of battery and connections. After a good 24+ hour maintenance low amperage charge, with the charge light in the solid green and the battery has set about 24 hours off charge, voltage should be about 12.8 volts.
12.8 = full charged
12.6 = 75%
12.3 = 50%
12.0 =25%
Always check both the terminals at the battery lead and also at the terminal on the wire. That helps to verify connection.

Do you hear relays clicking in the dash at one second intervals?
Otherwise, I'd be checking starter circuits...Test light? Voltmeter? Wire diagrams?
