Hello fellas, i am brand new to this site. I have had my 97 civic for almost 2 years. Just recently i fixed the A/C with my father in law, and of course while he was here it worked fine. Anyways we put a brand new compressor and accumulator and filled it up with brand new freon. i work all kinds of hours and when im driving at night or early morning it works fine, but as the day gets hotter the a/c doesnt work. sometimes i can hear the compressor kick on as it should when you turn on the a/c but while its on you can hear it clicking and clicking... can someone help me out if they have ever had this problem before.

have you checked to see if your a/c cooling fan kicks on at the same time? Wondering if that is causing the unit to shut down when it's hotter outside.
