Distributor keeps failing

Distributor keeps failing
Hi all. Another question. 97 ex civic (with ej7 motor).
My distributor keeps going out. I've replaced it 3 times in the last week. One time it lasted only 12 hours then car wouldn't start. Everything else to the naked eye is fine, the car has no problems trying to turn over. Yesterday it went out while I was actually still driving.
Today I spent 60 more on un upgraded distributor so hopefully that will fix the problem, but do you have any other ideas on the source of the problem?
I also noticed that the spark plug wires, one or two of them, have been working loose from the cap. What would you suggest? The other distributors were made in Taiwan like Barbie so maybe that's all it is. I dunno.
