p2j-3 99 head on 97 dx d16y8 block vtec help

p2j-3 99 head on 97 dx d16y8 block vtec help
Hi all. I'm new to the vtec world. I bought a 97 dx coupe last week and the vtec is not hooked up. I dont see a place to plug it in neither and I'm seeing some adapter plugs for the rest of the stuff on the head as well. After looking and researching further it seems I have a p2j-3 head from a 00 ex on my 97 y8 block. How can I hook up the vtec under these circumstances? Lemme mention again I'm EXTREMELY NEW to all this. This is my first Honda of hopefully many more.
