Heater stopped working!!! 99 Civic Si

I was using my heater earlier in the morning and it was working fine. As the day progressed it got hotter so I turned off the heater. Later at night when it got cold again I turned on the heater but it never got hot. Also when i change the direction of the air it stays pointing towards me. I try to change it to the feet or the defroster but it still blows threw the front. Help please!!!

Re: Heater stopped working!!! 99 Civic Si

What DOES work in the heater/AC system?
Does the water valve open and close when you switch between hot and cold?

I'll guess:
Sounds like the control panel isn't controlling the mode actuator and the temp (air mix) actuator, but will it still control the fan? Recirculate? Pushbuttons?

Check fuses 47 (engine compartment fusebox) and 17 in the dash fusebox.
There's a self diagnosis check for the air mix motor in the service manual.
There's troubleshooting info in the manual.

Almost all troubleshooting is going to be observation (what does or doesn't work) and electrical checks (why doesn't it work) with a wiring diagram or trouble tree and a voltmeter.

Or find an identical car and swap the HVAC control panel and see what happens.
