I have inherited a 2000 Honda Civic that had an engine swap done previously. The cruise control doesn't work, it seems to run very rich, ie - a tank of gas lasts less than a week, and it randomly idles high when in Park. I noticed that the hose that should go from the cruise control to the intake manifold isn't plugged in to anything. In fact, there doesn't appear to even be a nipple on this manifold to plug in to. The air intake is on the top, so I know they didn't put in an EX engine. what am I missing? What engine got put in this car?

So the new engine is the D16Y7??? That's a 2000 DX engine! If you take a picture of the problem, it might be easier to help!

maybe I havent identified it correctly. Whats the simplest way to tell which engine I have? I'll snap a pic of the intake manifold.
