Rep Power: 0 1997 Civic EX Timing Belt replacement help
Hello everyone.
I'm following the guide by cleft asunder and it's going really well so far.
I'm wondering what brands to buy. I ordered a dayco water pump/timing belt kit from Autozone as well as Duralast a/c, altinator, and power steering belts.
I then saw a more inclusive kit online on amazon, just look up honda civic timing belt kit, it's by tbk and its around $128. Sorry I can't link I'm doing this on my tablet.
Is this online kit a better brand? I've spent $130 so far and that's for the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, ac, p/s, and altenator belt. Do I need to replace the extra things that come with the online kit if not needed?
Also, I'm pretty sure my car is a vtec and not a vtec-e, will this matter when doing timing belt replacement? Will that kit online for sure work for my car?
Thanks for the help,
ChronoKent
