ID:	84947Well i got this awsome 2000 civic si 5speed. lots of goodies on it cant lie was a really good deal. Mugen Valve cover and racing lip. took it to put on my new exaust because it sits really low. Well they did the work for a good price hell it was a bolt on so shouldnt cost too much had to mod the bracket so it wouldnt hang low like some do. but as they were pulling it off the life they were so kind as to drop the damn car on the oil pan and not tell me. needless to say I only made it about ten mins down the road before it was acting crazy and i noticed the temp going up and oil buring out the exaust..... by the time i got pulled over the engine was knocking BADD and shut off. I had it towed to my house I took off the valve cover to check the cams and well they are good but there is a tone of metal flakes in the oil. and ofcourse the knocking.

Im pretty damn good with cars but this being my first honda im not sure which parts to order. I know by listening to the motor. i need rods and most likely pistons. repolish on the cylender walls and probable new valves and All new gaskets and seals all the way around. Big thing is I need to know which ones are the best for the best price. Its a B16A 1.6 motor. im in El Paso Tx. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. its my only mode of transportation for work and I desperatly need my car back. On top of I really love this car and so do my boys. It is such a Blast to drive especially with the new exaust. clean sound from front to rear

Fastest and cheapest will be to drop in a used engine.
You can probably find an engine for $500 or less.
