Engine Wiring Question

I blew my engine a few weeks ago driving home from work, and over the past weekend I've put a new engine in (both D16Y8, so it's a direct swap). I'm almost finished but I can't seem to figure out where these last 3 little connections go. Hoping you guys can help me get my car running again.

This one looks like a ground, but I'm not sure where it's supposed to connect to.

And I have absolutely no idea what these are at all. They both come from the same larger wire about 3 inches from the ends shown in the pic.

Please help if you can, thanks.

Re: Engine Wiring Question

First is definitely a ground, find a place to bolt it to the engine or trans.
Thermostat housing maybe? Top of trans? IDK, but it should fit under one of the bolts that takes a 10mm socket.

2nd looks like the one with the bullet connector is for the oil pressure switch.

Not sure about the last one that is missing its shell.
Is it a single wire?
What colors are on the wire insulation?
Knock sensor?

If I have to look in a wiring diagram:
I found 97 EX coupe, is it manual or automatic?

Re: Engine Wiring Question

It's a manual transmission.

For the 2nd wire (second pic, left side), where would I find the oil pressure switch?
The 3rd wire (second pic, right side) is a single wire, the insulation is red with a what looks like a blue stripe running down it. (Had to go outside with a flashlight to check it out).

Looks like that, either above or below the oil filter. Maybe next to it. Within just a few inches of the filter in any direction.

Stand by, gotta restart this dang ol puter and see if it will load up a PDF again.

Re: Engine Wiring Question

Ok, my diagram shows single wire red/blu as for the knock sensor.

Random pic here:

(It shows the oil sender as next to the filter on this particular engine too.)

Re: Engine Wiring Question

Alright I've got the oil pressure sensor attached, and I bolted the extra ground wire to the point where the clutch hydraulic line bolts onto the transmission. Now I guess I just have to check out that knock sensor placement, that's gonna be a pain..
