2003 Honda civic lx driving light started blinking

2003 Honda civic lx driving light started blinking
This morning I woke up to starr my car n the check engine light came on and the drive geae light started blinking n I noticed it wasnt driving right so I stopped unhooked the battery waited 30 sec put it back on and it went away n has been driving normal.. I'm jus a little worried ot could be something big I googled it and some say that the transmission is goin to go out..if someone can plz help me with this as to what I do to make sure its not transmission or what I can do to prevent it if it is if that makes sense? Thanks
