hey guys just bought a 2004 honda civic hx automatic, seems that the first gear is sputtering when i accelerate hard. did some google investingation and from what i understand these auto trannys are notorious for being troublesome. my question is is there a better automatic tranny that i can install in place? from a newer model? older model? instead of putting back the troublesome cvt transmission? if thats what its called. any info and help would be greatly appreciated.
