2000 Civic LX Clutch Replacement Cost
Hello -
I brought my Civic with 144K miles into a local repair shop as it would not go above 50 MPH and noticed it hard to accelerate from a dead stop without high RPM. The mechanic informed me that the clutch needed to be replaced but he does not do this type of work. Local Honda dealer in Boston area is quoting $1900 to replace clutch. Any thoughts on how much it would be to replace clutch if I took the car to a repair shop? Thanks in advance.
