1997 LX airbox swap to dx,ex,
I recently bought this panel filter

to go into my stock airbox. I then realized that it is for just about every other 6th gen other than the LX and DX. I really want to use this filter rather than going with a CAI or buying another hi-perf filter. I wanted to go the junk yard and pull an airbox off of an gx/hx.ex.si and mount it on the intake manifold.
Has anyone done this? How come the airbox is different on the lx?
I am trying to get better mileage - PS
