I bought a 99 civic for cheap that needed a few things but ran good. It needed a new exhaust from the middle of the car back. Thats ordered and on its way. I did a tune up, plug, air filter, oil, fuel filter later this week. The battery is bad but still turns the car over. Thats also being replaced this week.

My problem Is i have a CEL light on and the codes are p1381 and p0420.

I figure I need to replace the cat (coming from a 02 sentra spec v I understand that cats on the header are STUPID). Should I get a junk yard distributor and see if it clears my 1381 code also? I dont want to throw high price parts at it if its not going to clear it. The car runs fine.. It feels a little under power a 70mph like i have to floor it in 5th gear to keep it at 70 going up hills but maybe thats just it only having 107hp deal?

Also is there a header and cat combo i can use for this car other than the cat on the header? Like I said before I use to have a Sentra Spec-v and I know how much of a ticking time bomb these headers with cats on them are...
