97 civic shuts off in the rain
so i have a 97 civic and whenever it rains it'll sputter and just shut off. then i wont be able to start it unless i wait a while and it just shuts off a little while later. Its really throwing me off because it only happens in the rain. any ideas?

Yeah. Check the terminals. I just know I've heard that moisture can seep past the gasket and get caught in the cap. Just keep us posted. I'm sure the other members will give a few suggestions as well. Best to troubleshoot than to start throwing money at the symptoms and not the cause.
Re: 97 civic shuts off in the rain
i get this same problem im not sure if its because i have a k&n air filter instead of having a plastic box over it for protection. does she have the piece of plastic that prevents water from shooting up into the engine bay area. be careful about this because if you end up flooding the ecu you will have to get a new one. also maybe its coming throught the tail pipe, i doubt it but if the cars been lowered it can have this problem
