Rep Power: 0 98 civic SI died all a sudden and no restart
Yes, I had a little tap in someone's bumper all was fine and after driving about 1.5Km all a sudden the car died, pumping the gas peddle was not getting gas in.
I was not able to restart it at all and drained the battery. Got it towed home, charged it and still will not start but does crank.
is there shutoff valves on those?
Where do I start? Alternator seems a bi...ch to remove for testing?
Cheers,

That confuses me as well. I don't see how a minor tap would just kill the Alt. If you were pumping the gas pedal trying to start it, you probably flooded the engine in the process. Check the spark plugs for fuel soaking. Maybe you knocked something loose? Id start looking around the bay for loose wiring and even the fuses(ya never know).
