I have a 97 EX civic it started missing and lost power at high RPM's . Then wouldn't start at all.I have changed the cap,rotor,button,plug's and even the distributor igniter and it still will not start.It has fire when you first turn it over and then it loses it.The distributor is still turning but only get fire for like one rotation.please help.

Problem solved it was the ignition coil.

i have a 97 hx that just quit one day on the highway. i had it towed home and after many hours of searching found that on the pass. side fuse box under the hood there was a blown 40amp ignition fuse. it was a wierd looking fuse that has two copper tabs that screw it down and a green box with a clear top in between the tabs. i soldered it back together and the car started right up. so i threw out that fuse and ordered a new one and no problems since. but mine wouldnt turn over at all. not like yours seems to... but its something to look into...
