has 2 codes -- 1457 & 1457 pending has to do with EVAP what would cause this .... can faulty gas cap do it ? an what does the pending mean ?

These are realted to the function of the evap emissions system there are several causes but the easiest things to check are; Under the passenger side seat there is a 2 wire plug that goes through the carpet see if that plug is corroded or has been damaged you will need to remove the seat for this, also check the gasket on the gas cap see if its cracked and dried out, if it is then replace it.
