98 civic cx no start problem

Could anyone help with this?

Car had bad rev problems, i had to keep gas pedal down to keep the car running after a day sitting there is crank but no starting at all

there is spark but its orange spark so replaced Ignition coil that didnt work.. battery ok.. main relay ok.

fuses are ok. Checked Ecm for codes theres no blinking light, Engine light on retrieved codes with the 2 pin connector under passenger dash i got 1 flash which means is #1 o2 sensor but i dont think this will prevent car from starting at all?

Any help would be awesome

Thx

Well if you have spark there are 3 other things to check, 1 make sure that the fuel pump comes on with the key in the on position, you should hear it prime, remove the back seat to listen for it if you can not hear it. If you do not hear the fuel pump come on with the key then check the fuel pump relay and go back and check the fuses in the engine bay the larger ones can look ok at first glance so double check them. A primary 02 sensor fault would not cause a not start problem, so while you are in the engine bay area also check battery connections make sure they are clean and free of corrosion, the screws that hold the positive terminals to the engine bay fuse panel are tight and the engine ground is clean corrosion free and secure. I am confused as to why you replaced the ign coil if you had spark, that was a complete waste of time and money.

if the fuel pump is kicking in pull and check the fuel injection fuse, use a multimeter to check it. also when was the last fuel filter change? Also check the timing, see if its correct.

Re: 98 civic cx no start problem

Well you need 3 things to get it to run;
1) spark which you have established
2) fuel make sure its getting fuel remove the plugs and see if you can smell gas while cranking or remove the fuel rail and see if you are getting fuel at the injectors Put them in a tray before cranking though to catch the fuel.
3) timing it has to be on or at least very close.

Just because its a new belt does not nescerraily mean the timing is correct I have seen belts slip enough to trow off timing. Its rare but not unheard of. Short of that it has to be a security system of some sort or the crank sensor or cam sensor not reading. Did you physically remove the fuel injection fuse and check it with a multimeter or did you just look at it. Sometimes on the larger fuses they can look good but are blown. I had this happen on an ford one time it looked fine until I tested it with my multimeter set to continuity test. Try disconnecting a fuel injector 1 at a time crank with 1 off if same then plug it back in and try another this will also tell you if you have an injector sticking or one that is not working.
