96 DX 4dr - Is it a bad distributor?
Tried to search for this problem but I'm a total noob to civics/imports and have no idea what area I need to start troubleshooting from.
-Starts ok
-Rough idle cold or running temp
-Sometimes dies when clutch engaged to stop at stoplight
-when cold, engine will surge if I bring engine to higher idle
-surge eventually goes away
-engine intermittently stutters "at speed" but stutter clears under WOT
Changed spark plugs, cap and rotor and helped problem at first but now back to normal problem.
-check engine light comes on but ECU scans clean and so far I can't manually pull codes
Slowly getting worse but it's been over 3 months to get to where it dies at stoplights.*
