new guy here looking for a little advice on modifications

hey guys/gals,

A little backround story before i get to the car. My previous car was a 1988 Accord with 298,000 miles before it finally bit the dust. After drving that car for a year or so I was sold on Hondas but wanted to switch to a Civic. After looking around for a few months I found a 98 Lx with 60,000 miles on it. I got a good deal and I jumped on it. It was bone stock but came with some minor body damage ie. cracked front and rear bumper cover and a few little bumps here and there.

I want to get these little problems fixed, add a front and rear lip, a new grille, followed by a new paint job. I also want to add new headlights and tails. I'm not going for the "rice" look, just something clean and simple yet not fully stock. Which leads me to the questions:

Other than price and the name brand, what's the difference in buying the lights from ebay as opposed to buying the real deal?

Also, I found a picture of the tails and spoiler/lip i want on another forum. Am I allowed to post the link to the picture so I can find out what they are?

I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions later but that's it for now. Thanks in advance and my name is James.

ebay alot of times sells parts cheaper and they are the same as more expensive parts found elsewhere. just post up pics of what youre planning to get and im sure some members here can offer advice if they used em before.

Thanks gearbox. I'm not positive how to post jsut the pics so I'll post the links to the items.
These were the style I was originally going for:

I love these tails and the spoiler on this one but i'm not sure what they are. From reading the thread I think the are called 50/50 and then the spoiler is mugen but I'm not positive. The car I'm refferring to is a little over halfway down the page.

After find those tails I think these headlights would go better with them.

Thanks again and let me know every ones opinions.

those headlights should work fine. they are aftermarket but usually the quality is decent, and they look nice. i think the tails are called red/clear or something.

Welcome and the black out headlights looked good and they should work fine. About the tail lights and the spoiler. On the thread they were referring him to drop the tails and the spoiler and get some 50/50 tails and a mugen spoiler. So the spoiler is not mugen, hell I hope it isnt cause i thought it was hideous.
